Vintage Aircraft Nose Art from the 20th Century

FIGHTING COLORS VICTORY COLLECTION is a unique product that embodies the bygone air combat spirit WWII era when Fighter and Bomber crews had their aircraft painted with slogans and scantily clad Pin-ups known as Nose Art. This spirited art form lives on today in Gary Velasco's detailed hand-painted reproductions representing the most decorated Aces and honored squadrons in all theaters of WWII.

Working with aviation icons like B/Gen Chuck Yeager, The ENOLA GAY crew, MEMPHIS BELLE pilot Col. Robert Morgan,
the FLYING TIGERS and VMF-214 BLACK SHEEP Squadron, Velasco created a Limited Edition Signature Series signed by the pilots and crew that made history. Each aluminum panel is hand-painted and finished the resemble a piece of removed aircraft skin with the focal point being the Nose Art. This is as close as you can get to owning a piece of aircraft antiquity.

World renowned for his expertise in the subject, Velasco is sought after by collectors and private aircraft owners for his talents painting historical Nose Art on actual vintage warbird restorations either fliying or static displayed in museums.

For the first time these products and merchandising are now available for licensing.......

We have painstakingly researched all available records of the art work, aircraft and units they were attached to in replicating each panel represented in our catalog. The photos used in this site are for identification purposes only and to verify the accuracy and quality of the art work.

The reference photos vary from one to another because of film type, exposure settings and development times. These inconsistencies most often make it difficult to determine the correct shades of paint (faded most of the time) at the time the photo was taken. Therefore, we try to adhere to a high standard of quality without taking too many artist liberties in our effort to re-create the best possible rendition of the original art work as it appeared on the aircraft.

We do not employ weathering techniques to enhance our panels unless specified.
